Kindergarten Poetry Unit | Writers Workshop

This is a four week Poetry Unit to help kindergarten writers become confident in creating different types of poetry. Kindergarten students will learn how to write list poems, sensory poems, shape poems and couplet (rhyming) poems.

This unit spends one week on each type of poetry. You can teach all 20 lessons or you can mix and match what works best with your schedule.
